On Monday, Diddy remained in the headlines as NBC News reportedly obtained a copy of the mogul’s motion filed in response to Lil Rod’s lawsuit. As The Shade Room previously reported, Rod, who formerly worked with Diddy as one of his music producers, accused the mogul of sexual assault and harassment in February.
According to NBC News, Diddy’s legal filed to dismiss the suit in the U.S District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday, August 26.
“Running to nearly 100 pages, it includes countless tall tales, shameless celebrity namedrops, and irrelevant images,” Diddy’s filing reportedly said of Rod’s lawsuit, per NBC News.
Erica Wolff, an attorney representing Diddy, asserted that the lawsuit is “pure fiction — a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement… Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked.”
Furthermore, Diddy’s legal reportedly noted that the “true purpose” of Rod’s lawsuit is to “generate media hype and exploit it to extract a settlement.”

Stevie J initially made headlines alongside Diddy when he was reportedly named as a defendant in Lil Rod’s February suit, per The Shade Room. Rod accused Stevie and Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, of “recruiting” prostitutes and underage girls to attend the mogul’s parties. Additionally, Rod reportedly alleged he had photos of Stevie being intimate with another man.
In response, Diddy’s legal team accused Lil Rod of being a “liar.”
In late February, Stevie J even issued his own statement to TMZ, per The Shade Room.
“These allegations are false, and my lawyer will be handling this going forward,” he said.
Later that year, however, in March, footage surfaced of federal agents raiding Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami, per The Shade Room.
Then, in April, Stevie revealed that he was actually present at Diddy’s Miami home when the raid went down, per The Shade Room.
