Kaitlyn Bristowe is naming her top contenders for Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos’ final rose based on what she witnessed at Joan’s Stand Up for Cancer group date.
“Pascal and Chock to me, I saw the most chemistry with,” Kaitlyn, 39, said during the Thursday, October 10, episode of SiriusXM’s “Love to See It With Emma and Claire” podcast.
Kaitlyn added that she “definitely” saw a connection between Joan and Chock. “Clearly undeniable on TV and off TV,” Kaitlyn gushed. “I just think they’re so sweet together and I watched them interact.”
Kaitlyn made an appearance during the Wednesday, October 9, episode of the ABC spinoff show to host a strip-tease group date with the men. After getting a lesson from the OG Chippendales, several of Joan’s men strutted down the runway and showed off their dance moves for the charity. At the end of the stage sat Joan and Kaitlyn, who were smiling and laughing at the suitors’ efforts.
“I was so dialed,” Kaitlyn said, adding that she “was watching every move” because she wanted to see Joan’s connection to the men “without her telling me.”
The former season 11 Bachelorette explained that she took note of how the men were behaving both on and off camera to see if they were “being the same” or if they were “really putting it on” for TV. Another stand-out contestant to Kaitlyn was Gary — although she thought it felt like “more of a friendship” with Joan. “They loved each other,” Kaitlyn said of Gary and Joan. “I thought that was amazing.”
Bachelor Nation has watched as Joan and Chock’s connection has flourished throughout the season. Joan took Chock on her first one-on-one date, whisking him away from the mansion to Disneyland. The pair held hands as they walked through the park and made potential plans to take their kids and grandkids to Disneyland.
During Wednesday’s episode, Joan reflected on their relationship. “I really missed you a lot since I hadn’t seen you in awhile and I need to see more of you,” Joan told Chock during the evening portion of the strip-tease group date on Wednesday. “I do believe that there could be a future with us.”
Before the episode came to an end, Chock sat Joan down to inform her of his plans to be with his family following the loss of his mother. (Chock revealed during the premiere episode that his mom was battling stage four cancer.) He ultimately returned to the mansion, saying in a confessional “there was no way” he was not coming back for Joan.
The Golden Bachelorette airs on ABC Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
