Here’s Why LSU Football Player Kyren Lacy Has Gone Viral
According to ESPN, LSU’s matchup against USC at the Modelo Vegas Kickoff Classic ended with USC taking the victory with a 27-20 score. However, it was what happened during the football game that has the internet talking.
OutKick reports that during the matchup, Lacy — a senior at LSU — “scored on a 19-yard pass” against USC. While celebrating, Lacy walked past his opposing team and held his hands up as if he was firing a gun.
Subsequently, Lacy was taken off the field for his “unsportsmanlike conduct.” However, while sitting on the sidelines, Lacy apparently vented his frustration by making the gesture again.

Here’s Why The Internet Is Also Mentioning Fellow Athlete Ja Morant
As The Shade Room previously reported, Ja Morant made headlines in March 2023. At the time, the NBA player was at a strip club and brandished a gun while streaming on Instagram.
As a result, Morant did not face criminal charges. However, the Grizzlies player did reportedly lose an advertisement deal with Coca-Cola, per The Shade Room.
In May of 2023, Morant made headlines again when he brandished a gun for the second time while streaming, per The Shade Room. Subsequently, Morant released a statement addressing his repeated actions.
Ja Morant statement: “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

Later that month, Morant’s sneakers were reportedly removed from Nike and Finish Line’s retail apps, per The Shade Room. Then, in June 2023, Morant was formally hit with a 25-game suspension from the NBA.
He ultimately returned to the court in December of that year.
