Megan Thee Stallion recently kept it 100 about where she stands with Nicki Minaj after their viral beef. Speaking to Billboard about her independent artist path, she was asked whether she’d ever reconcile or collaborate with Minaj again.
“I still, to this day, don’t know what the problem is. I don’t even know what could be reconciled because I, to this day, don’t know what the problem is,” Megan said.
Additionally, in the interview, Megan was asked if she’s “the reason MCs are rapping competitively again.”
“I would like to think that I start things. I don’t know; I just knew what I had to do and what I had to say. If it opened up the door for everyone else to get sh*t off their chest, well, I’m glad,” Meg responded.

Here’s A Breakdown Of Megan & Nicki Minaj’s Viral Beef
In late January, Megan’s song ‘Hiss’ caused a frenzy with the lyrics, “These h*es don’t be mad at Megan, these ho*es mad at Megan’s Law.” Minaj’s fanbase believed the line was shade at Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty. For context, Petty was convicted in 1995 for attempted rape and arrested in 2020 for failure to register as a sex offender.
Minaj later clapped back by flipping the ‘Hiss’ lyric in an X post and dropping several posts on the same platform targeting Megan and her “dead mother.”

Afterward, Nicki followed that up by releasing the song ‘Big Foot.’ The song and title repeatedly referenced the 2020 shooting incident with Tory Lanez that got him a 10-year sentence.
Meanwhile, Thee Stallion never explicitly responded to Minaj’s track or her continued callouts after its release. However, in June, online users questioned if the Houston Hottie was throwing shots at the Queen Barb on her ‘Megan’ album. On the song ‘Rattle,’ Megan Thee Stallion rapped:
““I wanted everybody right here with me/ But that was my fault, bein’ too friendly/ I was thinkin’ everything was all good/ But the whole time, you was my enemy… Damn, b***h, it been four years/ Worry ’bout your man and your kid/ Your life must be borin’ as f**k if you still reminiscin’ ’bout s**t that we did.”
Nicki Minaj has not reacted to Megan’s comment to Billboard yet. The ‘Pink Friday 2’ artist is gearing up to kick off her second headliner tour of the year in Philadelphia tonight (Sept. 4). Hours before taking the stage, she dropped a message for her fans.
“Today is the day. The final installment of the #PinkFriday2 era begins today. Thank you for your continued love & support. Thank you for wishing my team & me, well. Thank you for being the best humans on earth. This is my first time doing 2 headline tours in one calendar year- (as #PapaBear’s mama @ that)… So I’d be lying if I said it’s been “easy”. I just keep reminding myself that one thing I learned & promised myself I’d never ever forget the last time I saw you, is that no matter how I feel when I walk ON stage, I feel a million times better when I walk off. Physically tired, of course, but in high spirits. Idk what it is really, but you guys have a way of putting things back into perspective for me w/o knowing or trying to. The unexpected rush of all these incredible, adorable, precious, magical, majestic, fun, funny, uplifting, emotional, uniquely layered, carefully crafted, multi-faceted, powerful, vulnerable, vivid, bright, crystal clear, stunning, reassuring, fleeting memories all start flooding back & I think to myself…maybe it was all worth it.”
