Offset has spoken about the recent passing of his friend and collaborator, Rich Homie Quan. Additionally, the rapper has shared a message for Quan’s family.

Offset Pays Tribute To Rich Homie Quan
According to Complex, Offset walked the red carpet during Billboard’s R&B Hip-Hop Power Players event last week. During his appearance, the rapper spoke exclusively with the outlet about Rich Homie Quan’s passing. Initially, Offset shared a message for Quan’s family and loved ones.
“I wish you guys, uh, some type of prosperity — some type of, uh, overcoming of it,” he said.
From there, Offset reflected on working with Quan during their early music careers.
“Shoutout to Rich Homie, man — that’s a day one artist right there that we all came up together in the same lab, in the same kitchen… trying to make it happen. That’s a tragic thing to hip hop, man. Shoutout to Rich Homie Quan, man. R.I.P. to you and bless your family,” he concluded.

Think It’s A Game Releases A Statement About The Rapper’s Passing
Over the weekend, the Think It’s A Game record label released a statement in reaction to Quan’s passing. According to Complex, Quan was signed to the label “early in his career.” However, he later sued the company over alleged unpaid royalties, and the matter was reportedly settled out of court.
“To know Quan was to truly love him,” the record label’s statement begins. “… we are devastated. You left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know you. Your spirit, your energy, and your music were genuine and deeply touching… We cherish every moment and every project we shared with you…”

Furthermore, the statement called for the public to pray for Quan’s family and friends.
“Please reach out to those you care about, and offer support where you can,” the statement added. “You never know how much a simple gesture can mean.”
