Just whistle while you work! The seven dwarfs did exactly that and Rachel Zegler belted out the classic tune in the first Snow White trailer.
Disney dropped the trailer Friday night as part of its D23 Expo fan event. In the trailer, fans get their first look at Zegler in action as Snow White. She sweetly sings “Whistle While You Work” while the seven dwarfs do what they do best.
And that’s not all.
Gal Gadot is also seen for the first time in action as as the Evil Queen, who delivers her most iconic line, “Magic Mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest one of all?” From the poisoned apple to Snow White getting swallowed in the haunted forest, there’s plenty of action throughout.
The trailer comes nearly a year after fans first got the first official look at the live-action adaptation starring the West Side Story breakout star. In that first look, Zegler is seen in Snow White’s iconic blue dress and surrounded by the seven dwarfs.
“It’s been the honor of a lifetime,” Zegler told the crowd Friday at D23 about the role, via Variety. “I think any young person, any little girl if you get to put on a Disney princess dress and be her for a day let alone six months… it’s just been the most amazing experience and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
Gadot was also on hand at the fan event, saying that the role of Evil Queen “is completely different than anything I’ve ever done before.”
Snow White is directed by Amazing Spider-Man and (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb, with a script by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. Songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who previously wrote the lyrics for two new songs for Disney’s 2019 remake of Aladdin, also wrote new songs for the film.
Snow White hits theaters March 21, 2025.
